Meeting of small scale entrepreneurs in Batticaloa

A gathering of small-scale entrepreneurs in Batticaloa, organized by Amirda Private Limited, was held today (07.07.2025) at the Amirda Private ltd. The event was conducted under the leadership of Mr. T. Puvikarana, the Chief Executive Officer of Amirda.

Many small-scale entrepreneurs participated in this event. During the session, the challenges and issues faced by the entrepreneurs were discussed, and appropriate solutions were provided by the Amirda team. Topics such as financial management, marketing strategies to elevate their products to the next level, the benefits of working collaboratively as groups, adapting to the current market environment, and ensuring product quality standards were also addressed.

Furthermore, it was emphasized that if the entrepreneurs are unable to resolve certain challenges on their own, they can request support from Amirda. In such cases, relevant solutions will be offered through the company’s Resource Hub.

Climate Change Discussion Conducted by Civil Organizations in Batticaloa

A climate change discussion was organized by Amirda on 17.06.2025 with civil society organizations in Batticaloa. The session was held at Vivekananda College of Technology, under the leadership of Mr.K.Pratheeswaran, Executive Director of Amirda, and Mr. T. Puvikaran, Chief Executive Officer of Amirda. Many social service representatives took part in this meaningful discussion.

A key highlight of the discussion was a detailed presentation by Mr. Charles Gracian, Training Officer at Vivekananda College of Technology, on their efforts to convert waste materials into useful products. He explained how these products are not only environmentally friendly but also serve to raise public awareness on sustainability.

Additionally, Mr. Kalaivendhan and Mr. Jeganathan, facilitators from the Amirda Resource Hub, provided valuable insights on project proposal writing for social service organizations. They also shared key ideas essential for the sustainable growth of both institutions and individuals.

Furthermore, representatives from the participating organizations elaborated on the services they are currently delivering within the Batticaloa district.
